Synopsis of the Activity

The two-day activity was organized as part of the SDG Week celebrations, focusing on Sustainable Development Goal 15 – Life on Land. The initiative aimed to create awareness about biodiversity conservation, wildlife protection, and the importance of sustainable coexistence between humans and nature. On Day 1, an SDG Week stall was set up on Garden Street, where students actively engaged with visitors through displays, discussions, and awareness materials related to environmental conservation and sustainable living practices.On Day 2, a guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Ravi Chellam, Programme Director at the Foundation for Ecological Society (FES). The session focused on the concept of co-existence and the growing challenges faced by urban biodiversity due to rapid urbanization and human expansion.
